What is ESP?
ESP is a program where students help keep the school and surrounding community safe.Empowered students plan, organize and execute year-long safe schools initiative in their local schools and communities.
Students are empowered to take the necessary steps or actions to solve problems specific to their school with the option of utilizing programs or guest speakers, available to them through the Police Coordinator at Community Programs, Youth Services.
Partnerships are student led between the Toronto Police Service, the Canadian Safe School Network, ProAction Cops & Kids, the City of Toronto, The Toronto District School Board, the Toronto Catholic District School Board, le Conseil scolaire public de district du Centre-Sud-Ouest, and le Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud.
Why should you join ESP?
First off, you'll gain tremendous satisfaction as you'll help keep the school safe. Moreover, you'll also recieve volunteer hours for attending ESP meetings. Having a commitment to school safety will also mean that you are a considerate and willing to improve your community as well as your school and will definitely help you in scholarship applications and allow you to gain a better understanding of safety. Above all, you'll have a lot of fun and contribute your time for a good cause.
